Ama Kade is a cocoa farmer in Ghana, Africa, her farmers’ cooperative owns 45% Divine Chocolate Ltd. Thus, Ama not only benefit from a fair price, but also receive a share of the profits from the sale of Divine.

公平贸易有助改善埃塞俄比亚的教育情况，农民将从公平贸易咖啡获得的额外收益用作建设学校，长远提升农民子女摆脱贫穷的能力。12岁的Balissa Mokta对此很自豪，他和其它小孩子就读的Illili Darartu学校就是当地第一所学校。


Education in the Illili Darartu area, Ethiopia, has been improved by Fair Trade, as farmers have used the extra money from the sale of their Fair Trade coffee to build schools. 12-year-old Balissa Mokta is very proud of this as he can go to this first school in the area with his friends.

在南非，部分公平贸易基金曾为当地学童购买新书包。小学校长Don van Wyk指出︰「此地区不是极度干旱，就是连场暴雨。在雨季时这些书包就最有效。我们这个地区的人很穷困，这些书包在他们眼里简直是奢侈品。所以我们都很高兴，如同天降甘露一样。」

Some Fair Trade premium has paid for smart new schoolbags for pupils in local schools in South Africa.  Don van Wyk, principal of a local school said, “Our people are so poor in this area, these things (schoolbags) are luxuries in their eyes. We are really, really glad.  It is like manna from heaven.”

在江西，大鄣山有机茶农指出，透过公平贸易，农民获得稳定的销售渠道和价钱，收购价一般比市价高三成至五成。自2002年起，他们的小区发展基金累积了超过100万元人民币，经会员商议后，这笔基金主要用以协助改善教育建设，和给与农民子女奖助学金。

In Jiangxi, Dazhangshan tea farmers has told us that the tea generally sells 30-50% higher than the market price.  Since 2002, they have accumulated more than 1 million RMB in the social development fund, which farmers have decided to build school and provide scholarship to children.
